Katherine Robertson, Republican candidate for Alabama Attorney General, today announced the endorsement of Washington County Sheriff Richard Stringer. Sheriff Stringer, who has spent decades leading law enforcement efforts in southwest Alabama, touted his strong relationship and trust in Robertson, emphasizing her record of consistently standing with those in the law enforcement community.
“As Alabama’s most senior sheriff, I have a unique perspective on the relationship between law enforcement and the Attorney General.” Sheriff Stringer stated. “I am convinced that Katherine is the right person to preserve the tight-knit bond that we have with her office. She understands the challenges we face and has proven that she’s willing to stand with us when we need her. I am proud to support her for Attorney General.”
Robertson thanked Sheriff Stringer for his support, saying, “I’m truly honored and excited to have Sheriff Stringer’s support. When someone with his experience and integrity says he trusts me to have his back and the backs of every officer across Alabama, that means everything. I’ll never take that trust for granted and I look forward to continuing our work together in the years to come.”
Sheriff Stringer joins a growing list of 15 other Alabama sheriffs and law enforcement leaders backing Robertson’s campaign, reflecting her reputation as the law enforcement-backed candidate in the race for Attorney General.
