Birmingham, AL – Republican candidate for Alabama Attorney General Katherine Robertson today proudly announced the endorsement of Madison County Sheriff Kevin Turner, a respected veteran law enforcement leader who has served the community since 1992 and been elected Sheriff since 2019.
Sheriff Turner, who commands the Madison County Sheriff's Office overseeing public safety for over 400,000 residents, praised Robertson's proven record and commitment to fighting crime, saying "It is an honor to announce my endorsement of Katherine Robertson for Attorney General. I have personally known and worked with Katherine over the years and I know she will do a great job as our next Attorney General. She is tough on crime and will put her experience to work for our great state,"
Robertson, a lifelong conservative Republican, has spent nearly a decade as Chief Counsel to the Attorney General where she has led key legal efforts to strengthen public safety, fought back against federal overreach, and relentlessly defended the rights and safety of every Alabamian.
"I am deeply grateful to Sheriff Kevin Turner for his endorsement and for his unwavering leadership and dedication to the people of Madison County," said Katherine Robertson. "Sheriff Turner has been a steadfast leader in law enforcement for decades, and his support means a tremendous amount to me. Together, we will continue the fight to make Alabama the safest state in the nation by putting tough, experienced leadership at the helm of the Attorney General's Office."
This endorsement adds to Robertson's extensive and rapidly growing coalition of statewide law enforcement support as she heads towards the May 19th Republican Primary. Robertson continues to prove that she is the most experienced candidate for the complex role of Attorney General, as well as being bolstered by the support of 23 Sheriffs, the Alabama Farmers Federation, the Alabama Cattlemen's Association, the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama, the Republican Attorneys General Association, the Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama, and numerous other law enforcement, pro-life, and conservative leaders from around the State of Alabama and the country.
