Birmingham, AL – Today, Katherine Robertson, Republican candidate for Attorney General, received the endorsement of Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum. Citing Robertson’s vast experience in the Attorney General’s office, Bynum highlighted Robertson’s proven record of fighting crime and getting criminals off the street.
“A lot of politicians talk tough on crime. Katherine Robertson actually backs it up. I’ve seen her in the Attorney General’s Office fighting side by side with law enforcement to take criminals off our streets. She doesn’t bend, she doesn’t back down, and she doesn’t play politics when it comes to public safety.” Bynum said. “As Attorney General, she’ll make sure violent offenders are locked up and stay locked up. That’s why I’m proud to stand with Katherine Robertson and why I’m asking you to join me in voting for her for Alabama Attorney General.”
In response to the endorsement, Robertson stated, “I am grateful for Sheriff Bynum’s support in this race. He and his department in Dale County are a model of what public safety should look like in Alabama. I’m honored by his trust, his support, and by his endorsement and I look forward to the continued partnership in the years to come to keep families in our state safe!”
The Republican Primary for Attorney General is on May 19th, 2026.
