Birmingham, AL – Today, Katherine Robertson, Republican candidate for Attorney General, received the endorsement of Calera Police Chief David Hyche, further expanding her campaign’s thorough support from Law Enforcement Leaders from across Alabama.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with Katherine Robertson for over a decade, and it’s clear that she shows up every day with one goal: to make Alabama a safer place.” Chief Hyche commented. “Under her leadership, the Attorney General’s office played a key role in the opioid lawsuit, which brought critical funding to our city. Those funds allowed us to create an impactful school program we call Calera Accountability and Success through Education (CASE). The CASE program is focused on mental health, drug abuse prevention, online safety and vape cessation.” Hyche concluded with, “I’m proud to call Katherine a friend, and I wholeheartedly support her candidacy for Attorney General.”

In response to the endorsement, Robertson stated, “I am honored to have Chief Hyche’s support and endorsement in this race. Alabama is fortunate to have law enforcement leaders like him serving our communities. As Alabama’s next Attorney General, I will work hand in hand with stakeholders and law enforcement from across Alabama to ensure every resource is made available to take on those who ignore our laws and cause harm to the people we are sworn to serve”

The Republican Primary for Attorney General is on May 19th, 2026.
