Birmingham, AL – Today, Marshall County Sheriff Phil Sims announced his full support and endorsement of Republican Katherine Robertson for Attorney General. The support from Sheriff Sims comes on the heel of two other major endorsements this week for Robertson, including Sheriff Mason Bynum of Dale County as well as an endorsement from the Republican Attorneys General Association.
“I am proud to endorse Katherine Robertson for Attorney General. Katherine has been a great partner to law enforcement during her long tenure at the AG’s Office,” Sims commented. “She is a team player and has quietly muscled through numerous public safety measures that have made our state a safer place to live.”
“I am honored to have the support of Sheriff Sims in this race,” Robertson said. “Sheriff Sims is a rock solid law enforcement partner who embodies public service, public safety, and law and order. As Attorney General, I’ll always stand strong with leaders of law enforcement, like Sheriff Sims, to ensure families in our state never have to live in fear, and those who protect and serve in our state have the full backing of the Attorney General’s office as we press the fight!”
On Monday, Robertson received the endorsement of Sheriff Mason Bynum of Dale County, which you can read more about here, as well as capturing the “extremely rare endorsement” of the Republican Attorneys General Association on Wednesday, pointing to the ever-growing momentum of Robertson’s candidacy for Attorney General.
